Byron Wright
May 17, 1920 – February 16, 2008

MOHALL – Byron Robert Wright, 87, of Mohall; died Saturday, February 16, 2008, at a Mohall nursing home.

He was born May 17, 1920 in Allen, NE, to Robert S. and Josephine (Book) Wright.  He was raised in the Grano area and attended school there.  Byron married Myrtle Veikley October 19, 1940 in Grano.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in England from October 1942 to October 1945.  He was honorably discharged as a Corporal.

He returned to North Dakota and worked as the Renville County Road Supervisor starting in 1955.  He retired in 1983.  Myrtle died June 21, 1999.

Byron was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall, and the George T. Taylor American Legion Post #52, Mohall.

Family:  son, Maurice (Laura) Wright, Mohall; daughters, Linda (Harold) Price, Denver, CO;

Debra (Robert) Wallace, Argos, IN; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Ronald (Helen) Wright, Mohall; sisters, CeCelia Veikley, Helen Klatt, Bernadine (Hugh) Heiley, all of Mohall; Estelle (Elmond) Lundgren, Dickinson; sister-in-law, Harriet Markos, Fargo, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Byron was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Tharley.

Funeral:  Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall

Burial:  Sunset Memorial Gardens, rural Minot

Family Service:  Today (Wednesday) at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
