Dagny Herigstad
July 31, 1927 - April 12, 2010

MOHALL - Dagny Elizabeth Herigstad, 82, of Brighton, Colo, formerly of Mohall, died Monday, April 12, 2010, at a Brighton hospital.

She was born July 31, 1927, Theodore R. and Inga (Evanger) Knutson.  She attended schools in Kenmare and married Lloyd Herigstad on Oct. 2, 1949 in Evanger.

She spent the majority of her life in Mohall, but moved from Minot to Brighton in 2005 to be closer to her family.

Dagny was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of the Nazarene.  She was an amazing mother and caretaker; taking care of a son who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy.  She loved to cook and worked doing upholstery for over 20 years in Mohall.

Family:  children; Linda (David) Strother, Broomfield, Colo., Perry D. (Carolyn) Herigstad, Commerce City, Colo., Curtis W. (Connie) Herigstad, Grants Pass, Ore.; sisters, Inez Christiansen and Virginia Taylor, both of N.M., Norma Boyom and Charlene O’Lolly, both of Mont.; brothers, Truel Knutson of S.C., Tony Knutson, of Wash., Tim Knutson, of Ore, Townley Knutson of N.D., Truman Knutson, of Alaska and Tyler Knutson of Colo.

Dagny is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, in 2002; two children, Randy Herigstad in 1970 and Shelly Hampel in 2005; four brothers and one sister.

Graveside Service:  Thursday, April 22, 2010, 3 p.m. at the Mohall Community Cemetery.
