Elaine Rice
December 2, 1941 – June 8, 2009

MOHALL – Elaine Pearl Rice, 67, of Jamestown, and formerly of Mohall; died Monday, June 8, 2009, at a Jamestown hospital.

Elaine was born December 2, 1941, the daughter of Milton and Bernthine (Ostlund) Rice.  During her younger years, Elaine loved working on the farm.  She’d rather be helping on the farm than in the house washing dishes.  Elaine was into craft work, especially enjoying crocheting.  She was a talented piano player, loved card games and playing bingo.

Family:  sisters, Alice Olson, Mesa, AZ; Julia Bennett, Williston; Myrtle Miller, Lansford; Carol Letourneau, White Bear Lake, MN; Betty Peterson, Minot; Linda Girard, Mohall; brothers, Bennie Rice, Las Vegas; Paul Rice, Roseville, MN; Leonard Rice, Pagosa Springs, CO; Edward Rice, Fresno, CA; three children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Aunts, Lila Lunde, Mohall; Edith Verdorn, Mesa, AZ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Vickie; and son, Johnny.

Funeral:  Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall

Burial:  Mohall Community Cemetery
