Judy Sundahl

Judy Ann SundahlMOHALL – Judy Ann Sundahl, 57, Minot and formerly of Mohall; died Monday, October 20, 2008, at a Minot hospital after a gallant fight with a blood infection.

Judy was born June 10, 1951 in Minot, the daughter of Norman and Sarah (Sakshaug) Sundahl.  She attended the first grade in Sherwood, and the rest of her school years in Mohall.  She graduated from Mohall High School in 1970.  She graduated from Minot Business College in 1971 and worked in Towner, Harvey and Rugby before going on to beauty school.

Judy graduated from Josef’s School of Hair Design in 1984.  Judy enjoyed being a hairstylist very much.  She started her career working at a few small shops before joining the staff at the JC Penney Salon; a place she worked for 20 years.  She had many loyal customers and made many friends over the years. 

Judy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.  She enjoyed watching bull riding on TV; and in 2002, she attended the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.  Judy enjoyed cooking, sewing and needlework.  Most of all, she enjoyed her trips to Nevada to see family, and watching her nieces and nephews play basketball.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Family:  sister, Norma (Mike) Shaw, Mohall; brothers, Loren (Angie) Sundahl, Mohall; Arlen (Rita Rae) Sundahl, Minot; Thomas (Debbie) Sundahl, Battle Mountain, Nevada; Jerry (Peggy) Sundahl, Mohall; nieces, Sarah Jean, Erica, Ashley (Jacob) Hilary, Jennifer and Marissa; nephews, Robert (Nicole), Brian, Christopher and Nicholas; great-nieces, Hannah and Halle Jo; great-nephews, Treyson, and one on the way; aunt, Sara Sakshaug, Fargo; uncles, Harvey (Marjorie) Sundahl, Mohall; and Arnold (June) Sakshaug, Bismarck; several cousins, and canine friends, Shania, Tuffy and Jake.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, twin-sister, Jane; maternal grandparents, Alf and Nelia Sakshaug, paternal grandparents, Louis and Anna Sundahl; aunts, Serine Haarsager and Dora Edwards; and uncles, Tom Sakshaug, and Olaf and Leonard Sundahl.

Funeral:  Friday, October 24, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall

Burial:  Mohall Community Cemetery
