Leona Botner
June 26, 1922 – July 31, 2009

MOHALL – Leona Marie Botner, 87, of Mohall; died Friday, July 31, 2009, at a Kenmare Hospital.

She was born June 26, 1922 in Mohall to John and Lorean (Burke) Henning.  She was baptized September 17, 1922 at United Methodist Church, Mohall.  She was raised in Mohall and graduated from Mohall High School in 1941.

Leona married Edwin Botner December 21, 1941.  They farmed in Garfield, MN, for ten years before returning to Mohall.  She worked for 13 years at the Mohall Hotel Café, three years for Great Plains Supply, and almost 25 years at Production Service in Mohall.  Edwin died August 31, 1993.  Leona was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society since November of 2002.

Family:  sister-in-law, Elfriede Henning, Seattle, WA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Donald and Lynn Henning.

Funeral:  Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Society, Mohall

Burial:  Mohall Community Cemetery
