Nina Engh
She was born October 26, 1936 near Sherwood in Grover Township, Renville County, to John and Blanche (Tvetan) Anderson. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1954. She spent the next several years raising her children. In the early 1980s, she worked as a nurses’ aide at hospitals in the area. Nina graduated from the Trinity School of Nursing in 1984. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Kenmare, Mohall, Minot and Belcourt. The last three years of her career, she worked as a travel nurse around the state and in Lemmon, SD. She retired in 2006 and resided at the Mouse River Park. Nina was a member of the Renville County Historical Society, Prairie Arts Club of Bottineau, and the Bothun-Peterson American Legion Auxiliary Unit #213. Nina loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, pinochle, reading, collecting elephants, scrapbooking, flower gardening and swinging on her front porch swing with her grandchildren. Family: children, Jim (Melissa Anderson) Engh, Tolley; Earl (MaryLynn) Engh, Jr., Sherwood; Angel (Steve) Larson, Minot; Joe (Michelle) Engh, Mouse River Park; grandchildren, Frankie, Nicholas, Dominick and Dustin; Jenny (Matt) Undlin, Jared and Kalli; Cayla and Claire; Taylor, Austin, Jordyn and Ashton; and one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Audrey (Oran) Keith, Sherwood; brother, Paul (Glenda) Anderson, Mohall; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Nina was preceded in death by her parents.
