Timothy Bartuska
Tim was born on April 22, 1968 in Kenmare to James and Darlene (Ackerman) Bartuska. He graduated from Mohall High School in 1987 and attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton where he was the school mascot. He was employed at Buddies and Pals Daycare and also helped out at Penguin Pals Daycare. He was a member of the Mohall Jaycees and the Dakota Poker Club. Tim spent his summers at Mouse River Park with many friends from the area and enjoyed entertaining his Canadian friends at the Love Shack. Some of Tim’s favorite things to do were being an emcee, with Mike O’Clair, for the Jaycee’s Demolition Derby and the Relay for Life. Everyone remembers Tim’s great sense of humor with his many jokes and songs. Tim was loved by everyone; young, old and everyone in between! Just ask any child for miles around if they knew Timmy. Everything Timmy did was always for someone else. The annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Tim and Sonia Ring, was the highlight of his year. No one could ever say “No” to Tim when he was asking for donations. Don’t forget Halloween, when everyone else in town got 15-30 trick-or-treaters, Tim got over 100 kids visiting his house. Karaoke was by far the best time for Tim. He never missed a chance to sing. I’m sure you’ve heard him sing some of his favorite songs and who will ever forget the special showings of the Cop and the Convict and “I Got You Babe.” Tim was so proud to be the Godfather of his great-nephew, Gattlin Ledoux, whom he loved to spoil rotten. Tim’s family was the most important part of his life. The Dallas Cowboys came in at a close second. When he was little, he wasn’t dealt a very good hand; but he always played the cards he was dealt. Family: Those who shared his life were his mother, Darlene Bartuska, Mohall; sisters, Linda (Stan) Savelkoul, Lansford; Deborah (Gary) Ledoux, Antler; and Michele (Rick) Helming, Mohall; brothers, Cameron (Cindy) Bartuska, Kenmare; and Mike (Carla) Bartuska, Minot; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. And we can’t forget his faithful companion, Windsor. Tim was preceded in death by his father, James Bartuska; two infant sisters, his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his nephew, Catlin Bartuska.
